How It Works

How do you go from an idea to a finished box of cards or gift picture?

In 4 easy steps!

Step 1 : Email us for a quote - info@thecartoonyou.com .

Include a brief description of what you want for your cartoon: who will be in the picture and what the scenario will be.

Prices depend on how many characters are going to be in the final cartoon..

If you have any special requests or questions, now is the time to ask.

Step 2 : E-mail or post us a few good photos of who you'd like 'cartooned'.

If you feel more comfortable sending the original photographs in the regular mail, that's not a problem. We'll make sure they get back to you safe and sound.
The important thing is that the person we're going to caricature is quite visible in the photograph and is an accurate representation of them.
Please send a couple of pictures so we can double check the likeness, making the final piece as accurate (and fun) as we can.

Step 3 : We get to work on a black and white sketch of the proposed final piece, involving the characters in whatever scene or scenario you like.

Step 4 : After you sign off the black and white sketch and that the likeness and cartoon is to your approval, we get to work on the final coloured image. As in the last stage, once the final coloured image is signed off, the image goes to print

Prices

Prices for the finished artwork start from €250 for two people and and additional €70 for each character.

Printing prices vary according to the size of your order.

If you would rather print your images or cards yourself that's not a problem, you'll only be charged for the artwork and you'll be sent a disc with a high resolution copy of your image on it.
